Who doesn’t like a little extra cash? 💵 Trying to make extra money while balancing work, kids, and life can feel like a juggling act, but it’s totally doable! These are a few things I personally do that I'm able to fit into my busy schedule. Many of these even offer sign-up bonuses to get you started!

1. Cash Back Apps

I’m a big fan of cashback apps like Rakuten, Shopkick, and Ibotta. These give you money back on things you are going to buy anyway! I always check the app before I make a purchase, especially for groceries or online shopping. Rakuten will often have increased cash back deals for certain brands, so keep an eye on their app for special offers!

You can get $30 bonus by clicking here to sign up for Rakuten today!

You can also get 500 "Kicks" on Shopkick by downloading the app and using code COOL419925.

2. Sell Clothing & Household Items

Listing items on Poshmark, eBay, and OfferUp has been the best ROI for me, though there are other options like Mercari, ThreadUp, and Facebook Marketplace as well. I keep it simple by sticking to a few sites where I know my items will sell. Plus, it feels great to clear out clutter, reduce waste and make some cash at the same time! 💲

Use code MEG_M13 on Poshmark to get $10!

3. Take Online Surveys

Who knew you could get paid just for sharing your opinion? It’s easy to complete surveys during downtime, and while it probably won’t make you rich, it’s an easy way to earn a little extra on the side without too much effort. The site I use most often is Ipsos Isay, which gives you points for every survey completed. You can use the points for cash back, or towards their marketplace of items. ✅

4. Mystery Shopping

This one’s for anyone who loves a little adventure! Mystery shopping gigs aren’t always easy to come by, but when you find a legitimate company, it can be a fun way to earn. Get paid to check out a new restaurant or shop for groceries! Sharpen those acting skills and visit ISecretShop! 🎭

5. Upload Receipts

If you’re going to spend the money anyway, why not get something back? ReceiptHog is one of my favorite apps—just snap a pic of your receipt, upload it, and you’ll start racking up points that can be turned into cash or rewards. It’s an easy habit that makes a difference over time (and then you always have a copy of those receipts, just in case)! 🧾

These ideas won’t make you an overnight millionaire, but every dollar adds up! Saving money is all about finding what works with your schedule and lifestyle. Let me know if you give any of these a try!
